On December 15, 2014, Ralph Smith, managing director of the Campaign for Grade-Level Reading, participated in a panel discussion at the White House Summit on Early Education. The conversation focused on the expansion of private investment in early learning.

Ralph spoke of the solid examples of programs that seek to engage parents and provide access to early learning for all children where he highlighted organizations like ELV by saying.”In Colorado, the David & Laura Merage Foundation’s Early Learning Ventures is expanding access to child care that’s both affordable and highquality. By providing online, cost-effective business management tools, such as billing and accounting, ELV allows providers to reinvest their time and resources where it matters most — delivering care to kids.”
