Each of our EHS partners in Arapahoe County chose a teacher to spotlight for Teacher Appreciation Week. Below are the teachers they’ve chosen to recognize.

 

Mrs. Amy, Preschool Teacher, Creative Learning Academy.

Mrs. Amy is creative and dependable. She welcomes new ideas and displays loyalty and honesty in the workplace. Amy shows a desire to improve her job skills and excels at planning for her classroom.

 

Ms. Vicky, Preschool Teacher, Little Angels Child Care.

Ms. Vicky has been a great employee for 20 years now. She is dependable, reliable and works great with others. She adds positivity to the workplace and can perform a variety of duties. Vicky is very comfortable with change and loyal to her job.

Sandy Schneweis, Teacher, Kids’ Castle Child Care.

Sandy Schneweis has been an employee of Kids’ Castle since 2010. During her tenure with Kids’ Castle, Sandy has demonstrated her strong commitment to the children in our care. Sandy especially enjoys working with the younger age groups. Creating and engaging children in classroom activities that promote exploration and learning is a favorite aspect of her job responsibilities.

 

Lynn Replinger, Teacher Toddler 2, New Legacy Charter School.

Lynn previously worked for the public school system while volunteering at New Legacy. She has become a “go to” person for all the ELC teachers and administration.  Lynn is always willing to help other teammates and often does the extra chores not in her job description.

 

Kirstin Mayoral, Teacher, Rising Star Early Learning Center.

Ms. Kirstin is an awesome teacher. Throughout the years she has taken training, classes, roles and responsibilities to help enhance her classroom. In a couple of weeks Ms. Kirstin will receive her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. When the asked what she loves about teaching Ms. Kirstin said,  “I love teaching because I love to see the excitement on their faces when they experience something for the first time.  They encourage me to see things in a new perspective.”

 

Silwan Awad (a.k.a Sue), Teacher,  Rising Star Early Learning Center.

Miss Sue started working at Rising Star when she was attending high school. In the past seven years, Miss Sue has grown to be a great person and a wonderful teacher. In last couple years Miss Sue took on a lead role in the classroom and has become an Early Head Start qualified teacher.  When asked what she loves about teaching Miss Sue said,  “I love the bonds and the relationships we build with our kids.”

 

Catina Letton a.k.a (Tina), Teacher, Rising Star Early Learning Center.

Ms. Tina has been employed at Rising Star since 2010 and has been a great asset to Rising Star.  Last August she earned her infant and toddler CDA credential.  Ms. Tina is always on task and has become a mentor to other teachers in the center.  When asked what she loves about teaching Ms. Tina said,  “I love to watch them when children get a new ideal or concept.  It excites me to be part of that learning.”
